 Patrick was born in Liverpool, brought up in Birmingham, educated in Wales and Scotland and spent 5 years in Germany. He began his broadcasting career with the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS); he then spent 30 years as a regular voice on BBC Radio 2.For many years he has recorded voiceovers: he has presented the Lawrence Olivier Awards on BBC1; hosted a daily programme (bilingual in English and German!) for the Isle of Man TT races; narrated the documentary series "Extreme Machines" and "Raging Planet" for Discovery Channel; voiced TV commercials, and national and local radio commercials. Patrick has recorded hundreds of corporate videos and training CD ROMs; compered charity concerts; given after dinner speeches; managed the media PR for a private eye clinic, which was featured on BBC1 Tomorrow's World; hosted a product launch for Hoover in Rheims; given live presentations at trade fairs and exhibitions; and written scripts for both broadcast and corporate promotion. Patrick also runs voice training courses for broadcasters and public figures. Is there time for hobbies and interests? Of course!
